BROOKS REHABILITATION HAS BEEN A LEADING PROVIDER OF REHABILITATION SERVICES IN THE SOUTHEAST FOR OVER 45 YEARS AND IS THE MOSTLY HIGHLY ACCREDITED REHABILITATION PROVIDER IN FLORIDA. OUR HIGHLY TRAINED CLINICIANS OFFER EXCEPTIONAL PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL, AND SPEECH THERAPY TO THE DAYTONA BEACH COMMUNITY. BROOKS REHABILITATION AT HALIFAX HEALTH IS DAYTONA'S ONLY LEVEL II TRAUMA CENTER, AND ALSO HOLDS A COMPREHENSIVE STROKE CENTER DESIGNATION. THIS FACILITY ALLOWS PATIENTS WITH ACUTE REHABILITATION NEEDS TO STAY CLOSE TO HOME DURING THEIR RECOVERY.THE CENTER, LOCATED WITHIN HALIFAX HOSPITAL, SPECIALIZES IN TREATING STROKE, SPINAL CORD INJURY, BRAIN INJURY, AND OTHER COMPLEX ORTHOPEDIC CONDITIONS. A FULL SPECTRUM OF PHYSICAL AND NEURO REHABILITATION SERVICES ARE PROVIDED, USING OF THE LATEST REHABILITATION EQUIPMENT.NEUROLOGIC REHABILITATION HELPS INDIVIDUALS REGAIN THEIR MOBILITY AND INDEPENDENCE FOLLOWING A NEUROLOGIC INJURY OR NEUROLOGIC DIAGNOSIS. INDIVIDUALS WITH VARIOUS NEUROLOGIC DISORDERS THAT AFFECT COGNITION, SPEECH, MOBILITY, AND/OR OVERALL INDEPENDENCE WILL BENEFIT FROM NEUROLOGIC REHABILITATION. BROOKS SPECIALIZES IN TREATING PATIENTS WITH VARIOUS NEUROLOGIC DIAGNOSES SUCH AS PARKINSON'S DISEASE, MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS, STROKE, BRAIN INJURY, SPINAL CORD INJURY, VESTIBULAR DYSFUNCTION, AND CONCUSSION. BROOKS WORKS COLLABORATIVELY WITH PATIENTS AND FAMILIES TO DEVELOP PLANS TO MEET THEIR NEEDS, WHEREVER THEY ARE IN THE RECOVERY PROCESS.THE CENTER FEATURES A TRUE REHAB-CENTRIC DESIGN WITH A VIBRANT AND ACTIVE THEME. TEAM MEMBERS USE PATIENT ROOMS, HALLWAYS, AND A DEDICATED GYM SPACE TO TEACH FUNCTIONAL IMPROVEMENT AND COMPENSATORY SKILLS TO PATIENTS. MOST IMPRESSIVE ARE THE TWO ADL (ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING) SUITES SPECIALLY DESIGNED TO HELP PATIENTS WITH THEIR TRANSITION BACK HOME.IN 2021, THERE WERE 931 PATIENTS ADMITTED TO HALIFAX REHABILITATION, 376 OF WHICH WERE MEDICARE PATIENTS.
