ALLIANCE FOR PULP & PAPER TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION FOCUSED ON GENERATING RFPS TO ADDRESS THE PRIORITY R&D NEEDS IDENTIFIED IN THE ROADMAPS AND FUNDED PROJECTS FROM AMONG THE MOST PROMISING PROPOSALS. FURTHER, THE ALLIANCE CONDUCTED TRIANNUAL MEETINGS THAT BROUGHT REPRESENTATIVES OF COMPANIES, UNIVERSITIES, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TOGETHER TO DISCUSS STRATEGIES FOR ADVANCING THE DEVELOPMENT OF BREAKTHROUGH TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE FOREST PRODUCTS INDUSTRY, WITH SPECIFIC FOCUS ON ENERGY AND WATER REDUCTION, ADVANCED MANUFACTURING, AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH.
