DAYCARE/PRESCHOOL SUNSHINE CATERS TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE DAYCARE AND PRESCHOOL WITH THE HIGHEST QUALITY PROGRAMMING SO UNDER PRIVILEGED CHILDREN HAVE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE LEARNING AT LEVELS OF LIKE KIND CHILDREN IN HIGHER INCOME OPPROTUNITIES.
SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM SERVED MORE THAN 50,000 MEALS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS OF JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST TO LOW INCOME COMMUNITIES IN THE LOS ANGELES AND SACRAMENTO AREA. THE PROGRAM AIMS TO GIVE A NUTRITIOUS MEAL TO STUDENTS NOT IN SCHOOL DURING THE SUMMER RECESS THAT OTHERWISE WOULD NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO EAT DURING THOSE HOURS. COMMUNITY FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROVIDES MEALS TO ON AVERAGE MORE THAN 1300 FAMILIES A MONTH IN THE SACRAMENTO AREA.
