Part 3 - Line 4a

URBAN WORKSHOP THE URBAN WORKSHOP IS A SERIES OF EIGHT CLASSES THAT TAKE PLACE ONCE PER MONTH FROM SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAY. THE URBAN WORKSHOP IS TRULY A SPECIAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE TAUGHT BY NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED EXPERTS IN URBAN MINISTRY. PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN ABOUT SUCH TOPICS AS KINGDOM THEOLOGY, THE CITY 101(INCLUDES A BUS TOUR OF CITY NEIGHBORHOODS),WHAT IS POVERTY ANYWAY, AND MUCH MORE. IN ADDITION, WE ARE JOINED BY PANEL PARTICIPANTS WHO ARE LEADERS IN OUR OWN CITY THAT INVEST TIME TO HELP EQUIP THE WOMEN OF KALEO FOR EFFECTIVE, FRUITFUL URBAN SERVICE. CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED TO 25 TO 30 WOMEN IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH BOTH THE TEACHING OBJECTIVES AND THE "CLASS" FELLOWSHIP OBJECTIVES. CLASS MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE IN ALL WORKSHOP SESSIONS.

NIGHT OF GIVING NIGHT OF GIVING IS OUR ANNUAL EVENT WHERE THE KALEO MEMBERS GATHER TO FELLOWSHIP AND VOTE ON WHICH MINISTRY PARTNER GRANTS TO FILL. THE GRANT COMMITTEE PRESENTS THE REQUESTS FROM ELIGIBLE MINISTRY PARTNERS TO THE KALEO BODY AND THEN A VOTE IS TAKEN TO DETERMINE THE GRANTS AND DOLLAR AMOUNTS TO FUND.
