STATE-WIDE MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION OPEN TO ANY MUNICIPALITY OWNING AND OPERATING ITS OWN UTILITY. THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES A VARIETY OF SERVICES TO APPROXIMATELY 100 MEMBER MUNICIPALITIES BY INFORMING OF PROPOSED/EXISTING LEGISLATION, OFFERING ECONOMIC FINANCING SOLUTIONS, EDUCATION AND TRAINING.

OFFERS A WIDE VARIETY OF TRAINING INCLUDING SAFETY TRAINING, WATER/WASTE WATER WORKSHOPS AND OTHER PERSONNEL ENRICHMENT WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS TO OVER 100 ELECTRIC, WATER, WASTE WATER, AND NATURAL GAS MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES.


MANAGEMENT SERVICES PROVIDE BENEFITS OF POOLED RESOURCES SUCH AS EXPERTISE IN WATER, POWER AND GAS PLANNING AND OTHER ENGINEERING SERVICES TO MEMBER MUNICIPALITIES. RATE ANALYSIS, PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE INSPECTIONS, AND OTHER TECHNICAL SERVICES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE.


MAMU SERVES AS ADMINISTRATOR FOR BOND AND NOTE SERIES ORIGINALLY ISSUED BY MISSOURI DEVELOPMENT FINANCE BOARD, A COMPONENT OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, THAT IS AVAILABLE TO MISSOURI MUNICIPALITIES FOR LONG-TERM FINANCING. THE POOL OF FUNDS ARE USED BY MUNICIPALITIES TO FINANCE PUBLIC PROJECTS INCLUDING MUNICIPAL INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS. THE ASSOCIATION RECEIVES A FEE FOR ADMINISTERING THE PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO UTILIZE MULTIPLE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AS ISSUERS OF LOANS/NOTES IN LIEU OF SOLELY MDFB.
