COMMUNITY RELATIONS: THE SPORTS COMMISION FACILITATES BROAD-BASED COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IN AND SUPPORT OF SPORTS EVENTS; AND PROMOTES RELEVANT ACTIVITIES IN THE MEDIA AND THROUGHOUT THE REGION.
EVENT MANAGEMENT: THE SPORTS COMMISSION ATTRACTS, CREATES AND MANAGES SPORTING EVENTS AND PROGRAMS IN THE ST. LOUIS REGION. IN 2021, ITS MAJOR EVENTS INCLUDED THE MISSOURI VALLEY CONFERENCE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP, NCAA DI AND DII WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS, U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS GYMNASTICS, USA GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS, MIDWEST YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, AND USA V.
