SPRINGBOARD TO LEARNING DEVELOPS CHILDREN'S ABILITY TO THINK CRITICALLY, CREATE, COLLABORATE AND COMMUNICATE. OUR PROGRAMS DIRECTLY SUPPORT SCHOOL CURRICULUM AND ARE DESIGNED TO IGNITE A PASSION FOR LEARNING.

INSPIRING A LIFE-LONG LOVE OF LEARNING IN METRO ST. LOUIS AREA CHILDREN IN PUBLIC, PRIVATE, INDEPENDENT AND CHARTER SCHOOLS, CAMPS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, DURING THE TRADITIONAL SCHOOL DAY, BEFORE SCHOOL, AFTER SCHOOL AND DURING SUMMER SESSIONS TO THE UNDERPRIVILEGED AND THOSE WHO BENEFIT FROM INNOVATIVE EDUCATION, SPRINGBOARD PROVIDED PROGRAMS IN THE ARTS, SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES TO 5,796 CHILDREN AT 46 SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY VENUES IN THE FORM OF 516 SESSIONS, 14 PERFORMANCES, 1 WORKSHOP, AND 125 RESIDENCIES. THROUGH ITS AFFILIATION WITH WOLF TRAP INSTITUTE, SPRINGBOARD ALSO TAILORED PROGRAMS FOR EARLY LEARNERS SPECIFIC TO CURRICULUM NEEDS AND PROVIDED TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR 182 PRE-K AND KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS. AT 53 DIFFERENT SITES, 9,114 AREA YOUTH WERE PROVIDED ARTS & LEARNING SNACKS: HANDS-ON ARTS MATERIALS THAT CONNECT WITH CURRICULAR CONTENT WITHOUT REQUIRING TECHNOLOGY ACCESS.


YEAR-ROUND, SPRINGBOARD PROVIDES PROGRAMMING TO ST. LOUIS METRO AREA CHILDREN IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS, COMMITTING TO A THREE-YEAR PARTNERSHIP. CONSIDERED ARTS PARTNERS, SCHOOLS RECEIVE INDIVIDUALIZED PLANNING MEETINGS, PROGRAMMING TAILORED TO SPECIFIC CURRICULUM NEEDS AND TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. STUDENTS ARE EXPOSED TO HIGH LEVELS OF INNOVATIVE PROGRAMMING, BUILDING THE 21ST CENTURY SKILLS OF CREATIVITY, COMMUNICATION, CRITICAL THINKING AND COLLABORATION. SPRINGBOARD HAD 14 PARTNERING SCHOOLS, SERVING 3,635 CHILDREN IN THE FORM OF 259 SESSIONS, 15 PERFORMANCES, 2 WORKSHOPS, AND 21 RESIDENCIES.


SINCE 1964, SPRINGBOARD SERVES UNDER-RESOURCED, INNER-CITY, ST. LOUIS PUBLIC SCHOOL CHILDREN, WITH LIMITED ACCESS TO INNOVATIVE, ARTISTIC AND CULTURALLY BASED EDUCATIONAL CURRICULUM, PROVIDING LONG-TERM RESIDENCIES IN SOCIAL STUDIES, SCIENCE, MATH, ENGLISH, CHARACTER EDUCATION AND HEALTH, USING THE MEDIUM OF DANCE, STORYTELLING, THEATER, MUSIC, POETRY AND ART. SPRINGBOARD PARTNERED WITH 24 SCHOOLS, SERVING 2,524 STUDENTS DURING 1,145 SESSIONS.
