THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES THE SERVICE OF SPECIALIZED ACCREDITATION TO INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION OFFERING PROGRAMS IN MUSIC. THE ACCREDITATION PROCESS INCLUDES MAINTENANCE OF STANDARDS, GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES; MANAGEMENT OF REVIEWS BY PEERS; AND OVERSIGHT OF DECISION MAKING PROCESSES.
SERVICES INCLUDE THE AVAILABILITY OF PUBLICATIONS, HOLDING OF ANNUAL MEETINGS, AVAILABILITY OF CONSULTATIVE REVIEW, AND TRAINING OF INDIVIDUALS. THE ASSOCIATION HAS 632 INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS AND 17 INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS.
