THE SUMMER FESTIVAL PRODUCED SEVEN MAJOR EVENTS DURING ITS 16-DAY RUN DURING THE SUMMER OF 2022. THE SEASON OPENED WITH THE GOTHIC GALA IN THE TERRACE GARDEN OF THE TEMPLE OF CREATIVE ARTS, FEATURING GUEST ARTISTS AND RAISING MONEY FOR THE ARTS. WE WELCOMED BACK "OPERA ON TAP" AT A LOCALLY OWNED PUB AND CELEBRATED OUR SECOND JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION. A TOURING OPERA WAS PRESENTED AT FIVE VENUES (I.E. SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAMS, THE YMCA, AND SENIOR RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES) THROUGHOUT WAPELLO COUNTY. AND, A FULLY-STAGED PRODUCTION OF R & H'S CINDERELLA WAS STAGED. THE FESTIVAL HAD OVER 1200 AUDIENCE MEMBERS DURING ITS 16-DAY RUN WITH AN ANNUAL EXPENDITURE OF 113,462 RESULTING IN A TOTAL ECONOMIC IMPACT IN OUR COMMUNITY OF NEARLY 150,000 USING THE AMERICANS FOR THE ARTS "ARTS AND ECONOMIC PROSPERITY 5 CALCULATOR."
