FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE DAVENPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR EDUCATION SERVICES NOT PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT'S NORMAL OPERATING BUDGET.


THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES MONETARY ASSISTANCE TO DCSD STUDENTS FOR POST SECONDARY EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES. THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM DISTRIBUTED 73 SCHOLARSHIPS TO DCSD STUDENTS.


GREAT MINDS IS A CURRICULUM-BASED ENRICHMENT PROGRAM THAT ENABLES STUDENTS TO EXPERIENCE AN ENHANCED EDUCATION BY PROVIDING RESOURCES TO TAKE STUDENTS TO AREA LEARNING CENTERS AS WELL AS BRING EXPERTS INTO THE CLASSROOM. THE PROGRAM ADMINISTERS "MINI-GRANTS" FOR TEACHERS THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT TO HELP WITH CLASSROOM PROJECTS, EXPERIMENTS AND SPEAKERS. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE GREAT MINDS PROGRAM WAS ON HOLD. THEREFORE, THERE WERE NO MINI GRANTS AWARDED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021 AND NO FIELD TRIPS TOOK PLACE.
