TO COMBAT COMMUNITY DETERIORATION AND JUVENILE DELINQUENCY BY PROVIDING A SAFE, FAITH-BASED AND WHOLESOME ENVIRONMENT FOR STUDENTS AND THEIR COMMUNITY.

FAITH BASED PROGRAMS: PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE AN ATTRACTIVE PLACE FOR STUDENTS AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN FREE ACTIVITIES THAT ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGON, SUCH AS WEEKLY BIBLE STUDIES, DAILY CHRISTIAN TEACHING AND COUNSELING.


COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMS: SEGUE ACTS AS A GATHERING PLACE FOR THE COMMUNITY BY OPENING ITS DOORS TO COMMUNITY CLUBS, SCHOOL PROGRAMS, CHURCHES AND NATIONAL NIGHT OUT. THE COFFEEHOUSE PROVIDES A SETTING FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO INVEST IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITY THROUGH CONTESTS TO COLLECT DONATIONS FOR LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS AND HOLIDAY GIVING PROGRAMS BENEFITTING LOW INCOME FAMILIES IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.


VOLUNTEERISM AND MENTORING: COMMUNITY MEMBERS HAVE VOLUNTEERED AT THE CAFE SERVING THE COMMUNITY AND ACQUIRING BUSINESS SKILLS. A LOT OF MENTORING ALSO HAPPENS ACROSS THE COUNTER AS OUR STAFF SERVE THOSE WHO COME IN FOR A CUP OF COFFEE, OFTEN STOPPING TO PLAY CARDS OR MONOPOLY WITH THE HOMELESS AND ELDERLY. SEGUE PARTNERS WITH TEEN CHALLENGE, STEP UP AND VARIOUS RECOVERY PROGRAMS.
