WE ESTABLISHED A NEIGHBORHOOD FARMERS MARKET THAT PROVIDES LOCALLY GROWN FRUITS AND VEGETABLES. CREATED POWER OF PRODUCE PROGRAM THAT ENCOURAGES YOUNG PEOPLE TO TALK WITH OUR FARMERS. 300-400 NEIGHBORS BENEFIT EACH WEEK. ESTABLISHED A LARGE-SCALE RAIN GARDEN THAT REPLACED A POORLY USED PUBLIC SCHOOL PARKING LOT INTO A HIGHLY REGARDED NEIGHBORHOOD RESOURCE FOR MIDDLE-SCHOOLERS TO STUDY NATURE, LEARN SCIENTIFIC METHODS, AND DEVELOP BOTANY SKILLS. WE ENCOURAGE AUDUBON RESIDENTS TO PLANT POLLINATOR-FRIENDLY RAIN GARDENS ON THEIR PROPERTY. WE PROVIDE INCENTIVES BY FUNDING DESIGNERS FROM METRO BLOOMS AS WELL AS FUND CREWS OF YOUNG ADULTS IN THE CONSERVATION CORP TO PREPARE GARDEN SITES FOR PLANTING
