AMERICAN INDIAN FAMILY AND CHILDRENS SERVICES (AIFACS) IS ABLE TO LICENSE HOMES IN ALL 87 MINNESOTA COUNTIES. WE WORK WITH THE VARIOUS COUNTY AND TRIBAL ENTITIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE, ASSISTING IN THE PLACEMENT OF CHILDREN IN ICWA COMPLIANT AND NON-ICWA HOMES. AIFACS RECRUITS, SUPPORTS, AND TRAINS FOSTER FAMILIES IN ORDER TO ASSIST AIFACS FOSTER PARENTS IN PROVIDING NURTURING AND CULTURALLY SPECIFIC HOMES. AIFACS HOSTED SPEAKERS ON VARIOUS TRAINING TOPICS FOR OUR PARENTS, AS WELL AS HOLDING INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY TO AID IN THE RECRUITMENT OF NEW FOSTER PARENTS. DUE TO COVID-19 THESE EVENTS WERE HELD VIRTUALLY. AIFACS ALSO HOSTED OTHER EVENTS FOR OUR FOSTER FAMILIES, SUCH AS A TRAINING, RECRUITING WAS DONE ALSO. THESE EVENTS WERE HELD VIRTUALLY DUE TO COVID-19.
