TO PROVIDE QUALITY RESIDENTIAL SERVICES TO PERSONS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, CREATING FOR THEM A SUPPORTIVE AND CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENT AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO DEVELOP SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO FUNCTIONING AS MEMBERS OF A COMMUNITY. EPISCOPAL GROUP HOMES STRONGLY ENCOURAGES SKILL DEVELOPMENT, RELATIONSHIP BUILDING AND SELF-DETERMINATION, AS OPPOSED TO SIMPLY PROVIDING A PROTECTIVE ENVIRONMENT. TRAINING IN SELF-HELP AND SOCIAL SKILLS, ALONG WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPERIENCE THE NATURAL CONSEQUENCES OF DECISIONS AND BEHAVIOR, PROMOTE GROWTH TOWARDS MAXIMUM SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND INTERDEPENDENCE ON THE COMMUNITY.

TIMBERTON, OLIVE, AND SHILOH ARE THREE INDIVIDUAL HOMES THAT OFFER SUPERVISED LIVING SERVICES IN WAYZATA AND PLYMOUTH, WHERE INDIVIDUALS WITH MILD TO MODERATE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES RESIDE. SUPERVISION, TRAINING AND SUPPORT ARE PROVIDED ON A 24-HOUR BASIS BY TRAINED DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS. CLIENTS RECEIVE A VARIETY OF BASIC LIVING INSTRUCTION, INCLUDING SOCIAL SKILLS, HOME MAINTENANCE, COOKING, GROOMING, HYGIENE, MONEY MANAGEMENT, COMMUNICATION AND COPING SKILLS. REVENUE COMES THROUGH MEDICARE AND SOCIAL SECURITY WHICH IS FUNDED IN PART BY FEDERAL, STATE AND COUNTY GOVERNMENT.


DESIGN AND MANAGE INDEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAMS FOR 24 INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. PROGRAMS INCLUDE TRAINING IN EVERYDAY TASKS SUCH AS MONEY MANAGEMENT, HOUSEKEEPING, PERSONAL CARE, COOKING AND DEVELOPMENT OF OTHER LIFE SKILLS. MOST REVENUE COMES THROUGH MEDICAID AND SOCIAL SECURITY THAT IS FUNDED IN PART BY FEDERAL, STATE AND COUNTY GOVERNMENT.
