THE PUBLIC HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF ST PAUL (PHA)REQUIRES THAT MANAGEMENT AT EACH OF ITS FOUR FAMILY DEVELOPMENTS (MCDONOUGH, ROOSEVELT, MT. AIRY AND DUNEDIN) ASSIST RESIDENTS IN OPERATING A RESIDENT COUNCIL WITHIN THEIR PERSPECTIVE COMMUNITIES (KNOWN AS FAMILY RESIDENT COUNCILS OR FRCS). CITY WIDE RESIDENT COUNCIL (CWRC) IS THE BOARD THAT BRINGS ALL FOUR COUNCILS TOGETHER UNDER ONE UMBRELLA AND IS THE GOVERNING ORGANIZATION FOR ALL OF THE FAMILY COUNCILS. CWRC ADVISES THE PHA ON ISSUES RELATED TO FAMILY AREAS, SHARE GOOD IDEAS AND INFORMATION AMONG OFFICERS, PARTICIPATES IN OFFICER TRAINING AND LEADERSHIP SKILL BUILDING, HELPS EACH OTHER DO A GOOD JOB, PROVIDING NEW IDEAS, RECEIVE FUNDS FROM THE PHA FOR ACTIVITIES AND EFFORTS THAT BENEFIT ALL FAMILY AREAS, RECEIVES, AND WORKS TOGETHER ON COMMON PROBLEMS TO STRENTHEN COMMUNITY AND NEIGHBORHOOD.
