AS A MEMBER OF THE ESSENTIA HEALTH FAMILY, POLINSKY MEDICAL REHABILITATION CENTER'S MISSION AS A CATHOLIC, BENEDICTINE SPONSORED FACILITY IS TO PROMOTE CHRIST'S MINISTRY OF HOLISTIC HEALING FOR ALL HUMAN LIFE WITH SPECIAL CONCERN FOR THE POOR AND POWERLESS.

POLINSKY MEDICAL REHABILITATION CENTER, DBA ESSENTIA HEALTH POLINSKY MEDICAL REHABILITATION CENTER, IS CREATED AND ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE, RELIGIOUS, EDUCATIONAL, AND SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES. MORE SPECIFICALLY, ESSENTIA HEALTH POLINSKY MEDICAL REHABILITATION CENTER IS CREATED AND ORGANIZED TO OWN, MAINTAIN, OPERATE AND CONDUCT, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, AND TO ASSIST AND COORDINATE ACTIVITIES OF FACILITIES FOR HEALTH CARE, EDUCATION, CARE FOR THE AGED AND SOCIAL SERVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARITABLE WORKS TRADITION OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. IN KEEPING WITH THIS SPECIFIC PURPOSE, ALL WORKS SHALL BE CARRIED OUT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARISM OF THE BENEDICTINE SISTERS BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION, A MINNESOTA NONPROFIT CORPORATION; TO MAKE POSSIBLE THE PROVISION OF COMPREHENSIVE REHABILITATION SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABLING CONDITIONS, PRIMARILY THOSE WITH PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENTS; AND TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN A REHABILITATION CENTER.ESSENTIA HEALTH POLINSKY MEDICAL REHABILITATION CENTER PROVIDES INDIVIDUALIZED, SPECIALIZED MEDICAL REHABILITATION TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS. ESSENTIA HEALTH POLINSKY MEDICAL REHABILITATION CENTER OFFERS A BROAD RANGE OF OUTPATIENT SERVICES FOR ITS PATIENTS, INCLUDING COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATIONS AND TREATMENTS, PHYSICAL THERAPY, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, SPEECH-LANGUAGE THERAPY, PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES, AND NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES.ESSENTIA HEALTH POLINSKY MEDICAL REHABILITATION CENTER EMPLOYS NEARLY 80 FULL TIME EQUIVALENTS AND PROVIDED OVER 39,000 OUTPATIENT VISITS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021.DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021, ESSENTIA HEALTH POLINSKY MEDICAL REHABILITATION CENTER PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING COMMUNITY BENEFITS: $30,000 IN CHARITY CARE, $1.6 MILLION COSTS IN EXCESS OF MEDICAID PAYMENTS AND $19,000 IN HEALTH PROFESSION EDUCATION.
