TO SERVE HOT MEALS TO THOSE IN NEED OF FOOD AND HOSPITALITY; TO ENLIGHTEN THE PUBLIC TO ISSUES OF HUNGER IN OUR COMMUNITY; AND TO PHILOSOPHICALLY SUPPORT EFFORTS OF COMMUNITY AGENCIES TO INCREASE SELF-RELIANCE OF INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES.

MEAL SERVICE - PROVIDES HOT MEALS AT NO COST TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS. IN 2021, TCT WAS ABLE TO SERVE 23,320 MEALS. THE MAIN EXPERIENCE TCT PROVIDES IS VOLUNTEERISM. VOLUNTEERS COME IN EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR FOR A MEAL SERVICE. VOLUNTEERING ALLOWS THE VOLUNTEERS AND PATRONS TO MAKE CONNECTIONS AND HAVE CONVERSATIONS THEY MIGHT NOT HAVE EXPERIENCED WITHOUT TCT. TCT ALSO PROVIDES A LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR BOTH VOLUNTEERS, STAFF AND PATRONS. WITH THE CONTINUOUS FLOW OF NEW VOLUNTEERS COMING IN, TCT PARTICIPANTS ARE ABLE TO LEARN FROM EACH OTHER. WHETHER THIS IS A VOLUNTEER LEARNING ABOUT RESOURCES IN TOWN WHO MAY ALSO NEED THEIR HELP TO PATRONS MAKING CONNECTIONS WITH VOLUNTEERS, TCT ALLLOWS ORGANIC COMMUNICATION AND CONNECTIONS TO GROW. MORE THAN 10,000 VOLUNTEER HOURS WERE COMPLETE AT TCT IN 2021. TCT HAS A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-EAU CLAIRE. TCT TAKES COLLEGE STUDENTS IN NEED OF AN INTERNSHIP AND GIVES THEM UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES WHICH COME FROM WORKING WITH A NON-PROFIT. THESE STUDENTS ARE GETTING DEGREES IN MARKETING, COMMUNICATIONS, GRAPHIC DESIGN, HOSPITALITY AND SOCIAL WORK. STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO WORK TO GAIN PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT WILL AID THEM WITH GRADUATING WITH APPLICABLE KNOWLEDGE FOR REAL-WORLD SCENARIOS.
