THE MEDICAL SOCIETY OF MILWAUKEE COUNTY IS AN ORGANIZATION OF PHYSICIANS THAT PROVIDES LEADERSHIP AND ADVOCACY IN RESPONSE TO THE NEEDS OF ITS MEMBERS AND THE COMMUNITY BY COLLABORATION WITH OTHERS TO IMPROVE THE OVERALL HEALTH STATUS OF THE COMMUNITY.

ASSIST MEMBERS WITH PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, EDUCATION PROGRAMMING, NETWORKING AND SOCIAL PROGRAMS, AND LEADERSHIP AND ADVOCACY IN LOCAL AND STATE GOVERNMENT
DURING 2021 AND 2020, THE ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER WAS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19. DURING 2019, MORE THAN 250 GUESTS ATTENDED THE ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER RECOGNIZING FOUR OUTSTANDING PHYSICIAN AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, WHILE ALSO RAISING MORE THAN $250,000 TO BENEFIT COMMUNITY CHARITIES THAT ALIGN WITH THE SOCIETY'S FOCUS ON THE SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF HEALTH.
