MHSMPA SUPPORTS FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES THAT ALLOW FOR PURCHASE OF INSTRUMENTS, FUNDING LARGE EDUCATIONAL TRIPS, ORGANIZING ANNUAL TALENT SHOWS, ETC. BEYOND WHAT PUBLIC FUNDING WOULD PERMIT. AS A RESULT, OVER 280 STUDENTS RECEIVE A HIGHER QUALITY MUSIC EDUCATION.

THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDED FUNDS FOR MAJOR TRIPS INCLUDING THE BAND TRIP TO DISNEY WORLD IN ORLANDO, FL THAT INCLUDED WORKSHOPS WITH DISNEY MUSICIANS, THE CHOIR TRIP TO CHICAGO THAT INCLUDED A WORKSHOP AT THE VANDERCOOK SCHOOL OF MUSIC AND AN ORCHESTRA TRIP TO THE DETROIT SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICE EXPENSES: JAZZ CHEMISTRY BENEFIT CONCERT ($7551), BAND SHOWCASE CONCERT EVENT ($5563), SHEET MUSIC AND VIDEO/AUDIO EXPENSES ($4406), UNIFORM AND SUPPLIES ($4379), RHAPSODY TALENT SHOW ($1836) AND SCHOLARSHIP LESSONS ($873)
