IGNITES MISSION IS TO BUILD THE LARGEST, MOST DIVERSE MOVEMENT OF YOUNG WOMEN WHO ARE READY AND EAGER TO OWN THEIR POLITICAL POWER.

Part 3 - Line 4a

IGNITE IS A NON-PARTISAN ORGANIZATION THAT TRAINS YOUNG WOMEN FROM HIGH SCHOOLS, COLLEGES, AND UNIVERSITIES ACROSS THE UNITED STATES. THE PARTICIPANTS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT BETTERING THEIR COMMUNITIES, BUT MAY NOT ALWAYS UNDERSTAND THE ROLE OF POLITICAL LEADERSHIP IN THAT PROCESS. IGNITE TEACHES YOUNG WOMEN HOW TO THINK CRITICALLY ABOUT POLICY AND UNDERSTAND WHERE THE LEVERS OF POWER TO MAKE CHANGE ACTUALLY RESIDE. VIA IGNITES HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM, COLLEGE CHAPTERS, ANNUAL CONFERENCES, AND ELECTED WOMEN NETWORK, IGNITE TEACHES YOUNG WOMEN TO BECOME CIVICALLY ENGAGED AND ULTIMATELY STEP INTO PUBLIC SERVICE. IN 2020-21, IGNITE TRAINED 7,500 YOUNG WOMEN ACROSS THE COUNTRY THROUGH A COMBINATION OF IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING.
