TO SUPPORT THE CHARLOTTESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN AREAS OUTSIDE OF THE CITY'S BUDGET ON WAYS TO IMPROVE PUBLIC SAFETY AND AWARENESS. PROVIDES ADVANCED TRAINING, NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND EQUIPMENT, HOUSING ASSISTANCE IN THE FORM OF GRANTS, RECOGNITION OF POLICE FORCE, AND STRUCTURED COMMUNITY OUTREACH THROUGH MANY EVENTS AND PROGRAMS.

THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THE FOUNDATION ASSISTED THE CHARLOTTESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT BY PROVIDING OR CONTRIBUTING TOWARDS SPECIFIC ITEMS OR CAUSES. IN 2009, THE FOUNDATION EXPANDED THIS PROGRAM BY ASSISTING OFFICERS OF THE DEPARTMENT WITH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR ACQUIRING AND MAINTAINING HOUSING IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE.
VARIOUS COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS AND EVENTS THAT SUPPORT THE CHARLOTTESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT LIKE COPS 4 KIDS DAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT EVENTS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDES LAW-RELATED TRAINING TO POLICE OFFICERS.
ANNUAL APPRECIATION BANQUET HELD YEARLY TO RECOGNIZE EXEMPLARY PERFORMANCE BY THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE CHARLOTTESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT. THIS EVENT WAS CANCELLED IN 2020 DUE TO COVID-19.
