THE GOODWILL ASSOCIATION OF MICHIGAN SERVES ITS 10 MEMBER AGENCIES THAT REPRESENT ALL 83 COUNTIES. THE PRIMARY MISSION OF THE AGENCIES SERVED IS TO CHANGE LIVES AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE POWER OF WORK AND HELPING INDIVIDUALS GAIN A HIGHER LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE. THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE IN OUR STATE THAT HAVE DISABILITIES AND OTHER BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT AND INDEPENDENCE. GAM HELPS TO CULTIVATE RELATIONSHIPS AND OPPORTUNITIES STATE-WIDE IN A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT WAYS. WE LOOK AT FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW AND EXISTING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT ALONG WITH HIRING OPPORTUNITIES. GAM ALSO WORKS WITH MEMBER GROUPS FOR THE FACILITATION OF BEST PRACTICE SHARING. WE CONTINUE TO MEET WITH KEY GROUPS SUCH AS HUMAN RESOURCES, DONATED GOODS AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT. CONNECTING GOODWILL AGENCIES HAS GROWN THE NUMBER OF PROJECTS ACCOMPLISHED REGIONALLY THAT INCLUDE TWO OR MORE GOODWILLS. THIS HAS GROWN WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE PEOPLE SERVED BY MEMBERS.ALL OF THESE ACTIVITIES ASSIST THE MAIN MISSIONS OF THE MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS IN IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF THE LIVES OF THOSE WE SERVE.
