THE MISSION OF THE PARTNERSHIP IS DRIVING WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS THROUGH COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP. THE PARTNERSHIP PLANS TO ACCOMPLISH ITS MISSION BY FACILITATING ACTIVITIES FOR CAREER PREPARATION, SCHOOL-TO-WORK AND SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT.

THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND RETENTION PROGRAM WORKS TO ENSURE THAT ALL SAGINAW COUNTY EMPLOYEES WILL HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES THEY NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE WORKFORCE. THE PROGRAM ALSO HELPS EMPLOYERS RETAIN CURRENT STAFF BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE AND RESOURCES TO EMPLOYEES. PROGRAM IS BASED UPON PARTNERSHIP OF BUSINESS COMMUNITIES.


COMMUNITY VENTURES IS AN INNOVATIVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE BEEN UNDER EMPLOYED, OR CHRONICALLY UNEMPLOYED. COORDINATED BY THE TALENT INVESTMENT AGENCY (TIA), THIS INITIATIVE HELPS STRUCTURALLY UNEMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS PURSUE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN DETROIT, FLINT, SAGINAW AND PONTIAC.
