THE MISSION IS TO: 1. ENCOURAGE EDUCATIONAL AGENCIES TO RESPECT THE CONCEPT THAT INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETICS IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE TOTAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM; 2. ADVANCE THE STANDARD OF TEACHING AND LEADERSHIP IN THE PROGRAM OF INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETICS; 3. COOPERATE WITH THE MICHIGAN HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION IN STRUCTURING AND IMPLEMENTING PROJECTS DESIGNED TO ADVANCE THE INTERSCHOLASTIC PROGRAMS TO SECONDARY SCHOOLS; 4. COOPERATE WITH THE NATIONAL INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATORS ASSOCIATION IN STRUCTURING AND IMPLEMENTING PROJECTS DESIGNED TO ADVANCE THE INTERSCHOLASTIC PROGRAMS TO SECONDARY SCHOOLS; 5. IMPROVE THE PROGRAMS OF INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETICS IN THE AREA OF MEMBERSHIP REPRESENTATION; 6. ADVANCE PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP AND COMPETENCE BY MUTUAL PROBLEM SOLVING; AND 7.
