TO PROTECT SIGNIFICANT NATURAL, SCENIC AND FARM LANDS AND ADVANCE LAND STEWARDSHIP NOW AND FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. AS OF JUNE 30, 2022, WE HAD PROTECTED OVER 42,000 ACRES OF LAND, OF WHICH OVER 20,000 ACRES OF LAND ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, 40 NATURE PRESERVES HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED AND 128 MILES OF LAKE, STREAM AND RIVER SHORELINE ARE FOREVER PROTECTED AS A RESULT OF OUR EFFORTS. GTRLC HOLDS 252 CONSERVATION EASEMENTS AND HAS PROTECTED 21,000 ACRES OF PRIVATELY OWNED LAND WITH CONSERVATION EASEMENTS OR OTHER TOOLS.

FOR THE TAX YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2022 377 ACRES OF LAND VALUED AT $2,149,865 WERE ACQUIRED BY PURCHASE OR DONATION FOR PERMANENT PROTECTION AND PUBLIC USE. INCLUDED IN ACQUISITIONS DURING THE TAX YEAR ARE THE PYATT LAKE ADDITION, MITCHELL CREEK MEADOWS, ARCADIA MARSH ADDITION, AND ARCADIA DUNES NATURE PRESERVES. THE ACQUISITIONS BRING THE TOTAL LAND PRESERVES PROTECTED TO 10,321 ACRES, VALUED AT HISTORICAL COST OF $30,226,670. ALSO, CONSERVATION EASEMENT DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS EXTINGUISHED IN THE TAX YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2022 TOTALED $1,074,300, AS DESCRIBED IN SCHEDULE D, PART XIII. A TOTAL OF 252 CONSERVATION EASEMENTS HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED BY THE CONSERVANCY DURING IT'S 30-YEAR HISTORY COMPRISING 21,946 ACRES, VALUED AT A HISTORICAL COST OF $64,438,108.
