THE 2022-2023 YEAR WAS A MUCH STRONGER YEAR FOR US THAN 2021-2022. THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 77 PERFORMANCES, INVOLVING 2611 ATTENDEES, GIVING AN AVERAGE OF 35 PEOPLE/PERFORMANCE. THIS WAS COMPARABLE TO THE YEARS PRIOR TO THE COVID-19 "SHUTDOWN" OF CONCERT VENUES. THE 77 PERFORMANCES INCLUDED ONE "HISTORY LECTURE" (SOMETHING WE HAVE NOT DONE BEFORE) AND THREE JOINT VENTURES WITH THE MICHIGAN FINGERSTYLE GUITAR SOCIETY. SEVERAL "JAZZ" CONCERTS WERE INCLUDED DURING THIS SEASON AS WELL. THE THEATER CONTINUES TO TRY DIFFERENT TYPES OF EVENTS AND STYLES OF MUSIC TO BRING IN NEW AUDIENCE MEMBERS. IN SEPTEMBER 2022, THE THEATRE HOSTED A 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, RECOGNIZING THE MANY PLAYS AND CONCERTS THAT HAVE OCCURRED HERE SINCE THE THEATER WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1981.
