IN 2021, MAP (MIADVOCACY.ORG) HANDLED 30,312 CASES AND HELPED 67,152 PEOPLE. THIS INCLUDES HELPING 30,787 PEOPLE THROUGH OUR LOCAL FIELD OFFICES (LEGAL SERVICES OF SOUTH CENTRAL MICHIGAN; LSSCM.ORG WITH CIVIL ISSUES SUCH AS FAMILY LAW, EVICTIONS, OTHER HOUSING MATTERS, DEBTS, AND ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE. THROUGH OUR STATEWIDE PROGRAMS (MICHIGAN STATEWIDE ADVOCACY SERVICES; MICHIGANSAS.ORG), WE RESPONDED TO 1,486 SUPPORT REQUESTS (TRAINING, CASE CONSULTANT AND/OR RESEARCH); WE CONDUCTED 39 TASK FORCE MEETINGS REACHING 2,691 PEOPLE; THE MICHIGAN LEGAL HELP WEBSITE HAD 4,258,583 PAGEVIEWS, HELPED NEARLY 120,000 PEOPLE PREPARE LEGAL FORMS; GUIDED 90,335 PEOPLE TO REFERRALS TO LEGAL INFORMATION; AND LAUNCHED 11 NEW ARTICLES AND SIX NEW DO-IT-YOURSELF TOOLS.
