WE EXIST AS AN ADVOCACY ORGANIZATION TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR EACH PERSON WITH A DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY TO PARTICIPATE FULLY IN ALL ASPECTS OF COMMUNITY AND TO SUPPORT THE EFFORT OF EACH INDIVIDUAL TO DETERMINE THEIR OWN FUTURE.

ADVOCACY: TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE AND RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES IN KALAMAZOO AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES BY REPRESENTING THEIR INTERESTS USING SOLUTIONS BASED ADVOCACY. THIS ADVOCACY HAPPENS AT VARIOUS STAGES OF LIFE BEGINNING WITH EARLY EDUCATION AND THROUGH FINAL LIFE STAGES. THE FOCUS IS PREPARING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO BE SELF ADVOCATES AND TO ENSURE INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ARE ABLE TO LIVE IN AND BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY.
