THE MEMBER-FOCUSED ASSOCIATION OF MIDWEST MUSEUMS CONNECTS AND STRENGTHENS MIDWEST MUSEUMS BY PROVIDING NATIONALLY RELEVANT, REGIONALLY SPECIFIC, ACCESSIBLE PROGRAMS, PRODUCTS, AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES THAT PROMOTE BEST PRACTICES.

MEMBERSHIP SERVICES: SERVED OVER 750 PROFESSIONALS THROUGH ITS 2022 PROGRAMS, INCLUDING A VIRTUAL MUSEUM WORKER WELL-BEING SERIES AND THE ASSOCIATION'S FIRST IN-PERSON CONFERENCE SINCE BEFORE THE PANDEMIC IN MILWAUKEE, WI, HELD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WISCONSIN FEDERATION OF MUSEUMS. THE CONFERENCE FEATURED IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING. IN ADDITION, AMM CONTINUED ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH PEER REGIONAL ASSOCIATIONS ON THE "DIGITAL EMPOWERMENT FOR SMALL MUSEUMS" PROJECT FUNDED BY THE INSTITUTE OF MUSEUM AND LIBRARY SERVICES. THE PARTNERS PRODUCED THE LAST 4 WEBINARS OF 40 TOTAL WEBINARS, HOSTED LIVE AND THEN MADE AVAILABLE ONLINE AS MODULES ON THE MUSEUM LEARNING HUB. THE SERIES SERVED OVER 5,000 PROFESSIONALS NATIONWIDE OVER THE COURSE OF THE PROJECT (2021-2022) AND THE LAST FOUR WEBINARS IN JANUARY 2022 SERVED OVER 300 PROFESSIONALS ALONE.
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION: HOSTED 30+ VIRTUAL PROGRAMS, SUCH AS MUSEUM WORKER WELL-BEING SERIES AND ANNUAL AMM AWARDS COMMUNITY CELEBRATIONS. THE ASSOCIATION'S FIRST IN-PERSON CONFERENCE SINCE BEFORE THE PANDEMIC TOOK PLACE IN MILWAUKEE, WI, HELD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WISCONSIN FEDERATION OF MUSEUMS, FEATURING IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING. THE ASSOCIATION WAS A RECIPIENT OF AN INSTITUTE OF MUSEUM AND LIBRARY SERVICES NATIONAL LEADERSHIP GRANT IN FALL OF 2020 TOTALING UP TO 259,920, AND WILL SERVE AS THE LEAD ORGANIZER ON CROSS-REGIONAL ASSOCIATION PROJECT TO BRING DIGITAL MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTION TO SMALL MUSEUMS ACROSS THE NATION FROM OCTOBER 1, 2020 TO MARCH 31, 2022.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES: THE ASSOCIATION SERVED APPROXIMATELY 1,000+ MEMBERS (INDIVIDUALS, MUSEUM SERVICE PROVIDERS, MUSEUMS, LIBRARIES, ARCHIVES AND OTHER NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS). MEMBER SERVICES INCLUDE WEBSITE JOB BOARD, VIRTUAL NETWORK GATHERINGS, PRODUCT AND SERVICES DIRECTORY, AND RESOURCES; QUARTERLY E-NEWSLETTER WITH REGIONAL NEWS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, CLASSIFIEDS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OFFERINGS; AND NETWORKING GATHERINGS HOSTED AROUND REGIONAL BOARD MEETINGS.
