THE ADVOCATES FOR THE AMERICAN OSTEOPATHIC ASSOCIATION (AAOA) IS AFFILIATED WITH THE AMERICAN OSTEOPATHIC ASSOCIATION AND PROVIDES SERVICES TO MEMBERS OF THE OSTEOPATHIC PROFESSION. MEMBERSHIP IS OPENED TO ANY PERSON INTERESTED IN SUPPORTING THE AAOA AND THE OSTEOPATHIC PROFESSION AND IS WILLING TO PROMOTE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE AAOA. THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT THE OSTEOPATHIC PROFESSION THROUGH GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS, COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND PROJECTS.

SPECIAL PROJECTS PROVIDES FUNDS TO MICHIGAN OSTEOPATHIC ASSOCIATION, AMERICAN OSTEOPATHIC FOUNDATION, THE OTHER HALF GROUP, LIBERTY UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE, TEXAS COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE, WILLIAM CAREY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE TO AID IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECTS WHICH SUPPORT THE AAOA MISSION.
