UNITED WAY CONDUCTS FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS TO BENEFIT AREA 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS AND PROVIDES A PROCESS TO ALLOCATE AND DISTRIBUTE THOSE FUNDS. UNITED WAY OF WHITESIDE COUNTY DISTRIBUTED FUNDS TO 23 LOCAL 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS FUNDING PROGRAMS THAT SERVED APPROXIMATELY 1 OUT OF EVERY 3 RESIDENTS OF WHITESIDE COUNTY.
OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICES OF UNITED WAY INCLUDE THE PHARMACY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDING FUNDING FOR PRESCRIPTIONS AND THE 2-1-1 CONFIDENTIAL HOTLINE FOR INDIVIDUALS IN NEED TO RENDER APPROPRIATE ASSISTANCE, BACK TO SCHOOL DRIVE FOR SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITHIN THE COUNTY.
