IN 2018, THE TRIJUNIORS PROGRAM REACHED A HIGH OF 21 MEMBERS, WITH 14 COMPETING AT THE JUNIOR NATIONAL TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS. THE KIDS LOGGED OVER 2500 INDIVIDUAL HOURS OF PHYSICAL TRAINING AND PREPARATION, AND WERE SUCCESSFUL IN IMPROVING THEIR FITNESS, BASED ON PERFORMANCES IN THE SWIM AND RUN TEST SETS. THE TEAM PRODUCED NUMEROUS INDIVIDUAL VICTORIES IN THE SPORT, AND 3 DIFFERENT ATHLETES COMPETE INTERNATIONALLY. THEY LEARNED ABOUT HEALTHY EATING, BALANCING HARD TRAINING WITH APPROPRIATE CALORIC INTAKE AND FOOD TYPES, AND MAINTAINING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. THE ATHLETES ALSO LEARNED ABOUT SAFETY WHEN RIDING BIKES AND SWIMMING IN OPEN WATER.
