Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
IN OUR FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2023, WE SERVED 86 DISTINCT INDIVIDUALS FROM A WIDE VARIETY OF BACKGROUNDS, INCLUDING: LOW-INCOME YOUTH, DISABLED INDIVIDUALS, AND SENIORS. WE PROVIDED 81 IN-PERSON CLASSES IN TOTAL. OUR CLASS FORMATS WERE: CHAIR YOGA DANCE, YOGA DANCE FLOW, AND DANCE FOR SPECIAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES. WE COLLABORATED WITH TWO OUTSIDE ORGANIZATIONS: 1) CENTER FOR FAMILY SUPPORT, WHICH SERVES DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULTS, AND 2) HUDSON GUILD'S SENIORS PROGRAMS, WHICH SERVES LOW-INCOME SENIORS. 100% OF OUR CLASSES WERE SUBSIDIZED BY GRANTS AND DONATIONS WE RECEIVED SO THAT WE COULD BE OPEN AND ACCESSIBLE TO ALL. THUS, WE WERE ABLE TO IMPLEMENT A "PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN" PAYMENT STRUCTURES, SO PEOPLE COULD ENROLL IN OUR PROGRAMS REGARDLESS OF THEIR PERSONAL FINANCIAL SITUATION. AND IN SOME CASES, WE WERE ABLE TO OFFER "FREE" PROGRAMMING DUE TO PROJECT GRANTS WE RECEIVED. OUR STUDENTS RANGED IN AGE FROM 5 - 80+, INCLUDING: AT LEAST 40 DISABLED PERSONS AND 22 SENIORS OVER 65. WE HELD THREE IN-PERSON GATHERINGS FEATURING OUR DISABLED AND SPECIAL NEEDS INDIVIDUALS DISPLAYING THEIR DANCE SKILLS AND CHOREOGRAPHY IN FRONT OF FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND KMA SUPPORTERS. OUR HAPPIEST ACCOMPLISHMENT WAS BEING ABLE TO RETURN TO DOING MOST OF THE IN-PERSON PROGRAMMING WE WERE DOING PRE-PANDEMIC. IT WAS WONDERFUL TO CREATE MOVEMENT ART IN-PERSON AGAIN, AND IT WAS QUITE EVIDENT AT OUR GATHERINGS THAT PEOPLE WERE CRAVING THIS KIND OF HUMAN CONNECTION.
