VIDA VERDE'S EXEMPT PURPOSE AND MISSION IS TO PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL EQUITY BY PROVIDING FREE OVERNIGHT ENVIRONMENTAL LEARNING EXPERIENCES FOR STUDENTS WHO DON'T OTHERWISE GET THE OPPORTUNITY.

VIDA VERDE NATURE EDUCATION PROVIDES ENVIRONMENTAL/FARM EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS FROM LOW-INCOME REGIONS OF THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. IN 2021 VIDA VERDE SERVED OVER 750 STUDENTS AGES 10 - 12 FROM PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN EAST PALO ALTO, MENLO PARK, DALY CITY, OAKLAND, RICHMOND, SAN PABLO, SAN JOSE AND HAYWARD. VIDA VERDE'S THREE DAY TWO NIGHT CORE PROGRAM IS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO POSITIVELY AND POWERFULLY IMPACT STUDENTS AND THEIR CONNECTION TO THE OUTDOORS, ACADEMICS, AND SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING. EACH CLASS TRIP DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR IS AN ACTIVITY PACKED EXPERIENCE THAT TAKES PLACE AT OUR 100 ACRE CAMP, FARM, AND VARIOUS STATE PARKS AND BEACHES ALONG THE SAN MATEO COUNTY COASTLINE. IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, VIDA VERDE ADAPTED TO PROVIDE A HYBRID PROGRAM THAT INVOLVED IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES AT LOCAL PARKS, HIKES, AND VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING, AS COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS ALLOWED.
