THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE CAREER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP FUND THE "FUND" IS TO GRANT BOTH NEED-BASED AND MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS TO QUALIFIED STUDENTS ENROLLED AT PERDOCEO EDUCATION CORPORATION "PEC" INSTITUTIONS. THE STUDENTS SEEK DOCTORATE MASTERS BACHELORS ASSOCIATES DEGREES AND CERTIFICATES IN CAREER-FOCUSED DISCIPLINES FOCUSING ON SKILL TO MEET THE NEEDS OF TODAYS BUSY ADULT STUDENTS. PEC IS ONE OF THE LARGEST POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION PROVIDERS IN THE COUNTRY; PEC CURRENTLY HAS AN ENROLLMENT OF OVER 35,000 STUDENTS AT 2 UNIVERSITIES. PEC STRIVES TO ENSURE THAT ALL OF ITS TRAINING IS RELEVANT TO AND MEETS THE CHANGING NEEDS OF ITS STUDENTS AND THE JOB MARKET. FIELDS OFFERED INCLUDE: BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT NURSING HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT HEALTH SCIENCES INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES ENGINEERING EDUCATION AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE AMONG OTHERS. THERE IS A GREAT NEED FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE STUDENTS ATTENDING PEC INSTITUTIONS. APPROXIMATELY SEVENTY PERCENT OF THE STUDENTS ARE OVER THE AGE OF 30 SO MOST ARE PROVIDING THEIR OWN FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR TUITION AND FOR DAILY LIVING EXPENSES. A MAJORITY OF OUR STUDENTS REQUIRE ASSISTANCE IN FINANCING THEIR EDUCATION. THE PEC ALUMNI AND OTHERS HAVE A DESIRE TO HELP OTHER STUDENTS SUCCEED. WITH THE FORMATION OF THE FUND PEC HAS PLEDGED TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS TO HELP MAKE EDUCATION PROGRAMS MORE READILY AVAILABLE TO ITS STUDENTS.
