EVERY FOUR YEARS LAC ORGANIZES LITHUANIAN FOLK DANCE FESTIVALS TO CELEBRATE THE RICH TRADITIONS OF LITHUANIAN CULTURE. THE LITHUANIAN FOLK DANCE FESTIVAL IS A CULTURAL BENCHMARK OF LITHUANIANS AS NEW GENERATIONS CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN THEIR LITHUANIAN IDENTITY , CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS. THE FIRST FESTIVAL WAS HELD IN CHICAGO IN 1957.
THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION HAS 60 LOCAL CHAPTERS IN 27 STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. LAC PROFESSES LOYALTY TO THE UNITED STATES, UPHOLDS HUMAN AND CIVIL RIGHTS, ADVANCEMENT OF LITHUANIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE. DISTRICTS - ADVANCEMENT OF LITHUANIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE
