THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF PSYCHIATRIC-MENTAL HEALTH NURSES MISSION IS TO SUPPORT ADVANCED-PRACTICE PSYCHIATRIC-MENTAL HEALTH NURSES IN PROMOTING MENTAL HEALTH CARE, LITERACY, AND POLICY WORLDWIDE.

THE SOCIETY PROVIDED VISIONARY LEADERSHIP FOR ADVANCED PRACTICE PSYCHIATRIC-MENTAL HEALTH NURSES AROUND THE WORLD. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THE SOCIETY CONTINUED TO PROVIDE RELEVANT MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS INCLUDING ONE PROFESSIONAL JOURNAL, A MEMBERSHIP NEWSLETTER, AND ONLINE NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. THE SOCIETY PROVIDES INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON EDUCATIONAL AND LEGISLATIVE CHANGES. IN ADDITION, THE SOCIETY CONTINUED ITS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH THE AMERICAN NURSES CREDENTIALING CENTER (ANCC), WHICH ALLOWS MEMBERS TO RECEIVE DISCOUNTS ON ANCC EXAM FEES. THE SOCIETY'S MEMBERSHIP IS APPROXIMATELY 619 INDIVIDUALS. THE SOCIETY'S 2021 ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE WAS HELD VIRTUALLY FROM MARCH 23 TO MARCH 25 AND HAD 127 ATTENDEES.
