RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL RECYCLING: RESOURCE CENTER COLLECTS RECYCABLE MATERIALS FROM BUSINESSES, RESIDENTS, AND INSTITUTIONS ACROSS THE CITY OF CHICAGO, THROUGH CURBSIDE COLLECTIONS, DROP-OFF CENTERS, AND BUY-BACK CENTERS, AS WELL AS THROUGH A MOBILE BUY-BACK PROGRAM THAT SERVES CHICAGO'S PUBLIC HOUSING COMMUNITIES.


URBAN AGRICULTUTE: RESOURCE CENTER PRODUCES FRESH, NATURALLY GROWN VEGETABLES, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME EDUCATING THE COMMUNITY ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF A HEALTHY FOOD SYSTEM THROUGH LECTURES, DEMONSTRATIONS, VOLUNTEER DAYS, AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS WITH NEIGHBORHOOD STUDENTS.


PERISHABLE FOOD RECOVERY: RESOURCE CENTER RETRIEVES HEALTHY, UNSOLD FOOD FROM SOURCES SUCH AS GROCERY STORES AND FARMERS MARKETS, AND THEN REDISTRIBUTES IT TO FOOD PANTRIES AND SHELTERS.
