COMMUNITY EDUCATION & CAPACITY BUILDINGCOMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMS PROVIDE IMMIGRATION, HOUSING, COMMUNITY EDUCATION, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, AND COVID-19 RELIEF SERVICES TO SUPPORT LOW-INCOME IMMIGRANT COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO BUILD ECONOMICALLY THRIVING LIVES. THROUGH THESE SERVICES IMMIGRANTS RECEIVE SUPPORT TO DEVELOP ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND JOB READINESS SKILLS, APPLY FOR CITIZENSHIP AND IMMIGRATION STATUS ADJUSTMENTS, ENGAGE IN HOUSING COUNSELING, AND RECEIVE LEGAL SERVICES.
ORGANIZING & YOUTH EMPOWERMENT HANA'S COMMUNITY ORGANIZING AND ADVOCACY PROGRAMS MOBILIZE KOREAN AMERICAN, ASIAN AMERICAN, AND MULTIETHNIC IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES THROUGH EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND COLLECTIVE ACTION TO ADVANCE IMMIGRANT JUSTICE. THE YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM PROVIDES A SAFE AFTER-SCHOOL SPACE FOR MULTIETHNIC HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE-AGED YOUTH FROM PREDOMINANTLY LOW-INCOME CHICAGO IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES TO GROW TOGETHER AS CRITICALLY ENGAGED LEADERS TAKING COLLECTIVE ACTION TOWARD SOCIAL CHANGE.
SENIOR SERVICES & PUBLIC BENEFITS SENIOR SERVICES AND PUBLIC BENEFITS PROGRAMS ASSIST LOW-INCOME AND LIMITED ENGLISH-SPEAKING COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO NAVIGATE AND ENROLL IN SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICARE, MEDICAID, LIHEAP, SNAP, AND PUBLIC BENEFITS, ALSO PROVIDING ALZHEIMER'S AND HEPATITIS B EDUCATION AND FACILITATING HANA'S ANNUAL HEALTH FAIR.
EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTERTHE EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER (ECC) PROVIDES DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE PLAY-BASED LEARNING FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND FAMILIES DESIRING TO RAISE THEIR CHILDREN WITH KOREAN CULTURE AND INFLUENCES. ECC OFFERS A MULTICULTURAL, MULTILINGUAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR CHILDREN WITHIN A SAFE AND STRUCTURED ENVIRONMENT. THIS PROGRAM WAS DISCONTINUED DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2022.COMMUNITY WELLNESSCOMMUNITY WELLNESS PROGRAMS SUPPORT IMMIGRANT COMMUNITY MEMBERS THROUGH INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP COUNSELING, EDUCATION, ADVOCACY AND REFERRALS, EQUIPPING THEM WITH TOOLS TO ADDRESS AND HEAL FROM MENTAL HEALTH CRISES, INTERPERSONAL VIOLENCE OR CRIME, SUBSTANCE DEPENDENCE, AND OTHER LIFE STRESSORS AND TRAUMA.
