SOCIAL, CIVIC, PATRIOTIC AND EDUCATIONAL, AND IN FURTHERANCE OF SAME BUT NOT IN LIMITATION THEREOF (1) TO ENCOURAGE, PRESERVE AND STRENGTHEN THE BOND OF COMRADSHIP AMONG ITS MEMBERS AND ALL VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS; (2) TO PERPETUATE THE HISTORY OF ALL VETERANS, WHETHER LIVING OR DEAD, AS WELL AS OTHERS WHO SERVED IN FOREIGN WARS; (3) TO ASSIST, IN ANY LAWFUL MATTER, ALL WORTHY CONRADES, THEIR WIVES, WIDOWS, CHILDREN AND ORPHANS; (4) TO FOSTER TRUE PATRIOTISM AND (5) TO ENCOURAGE THE MAINTENANCE AND EXTENSION OF INSTITUTIONS OF AMERICAN FREEDOM, AS WELL AS THE PRESERVATION AND DEFENSE OF THE UNITED STATES FROM ALL HER ENEMIES WHOMEVER. NOT, HOWEVER, INCLUDING THE PAYMENT OF SICK OR DEATH BENEFITS, AND NOT INCLUDING THE CARE OF NEGLECTED OR DEPENDENT CHILDREN.
