THE WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA DIAPER BANK DISTRIBUTES DIAPERS TO LOW-INCOME AND POVERTY-LEVEL FAMILIES AT NO COST ENSURING THAT BABIES IN NEED ARE CLEAN, HEALTHY AND DRY. IT ALSO DISTRIBUTES PERIOD PRODUCTS TO WOMEN, INCONTINENCE SUPPLIES TO SENIORS, AND BASIC NECESSITIES NOT COVERED BY ANY GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE.

ONE IN THREE AMERICAN FAMILIES STRUGGLE TO PROVIDE DIAPERS FOR THEIR INFANT CHILDREN. THE WESTERN PA DIAPER BANK WAS STARTED IN 2012 TO RAISE AWARENESS TO THIS SILENT AMERICAN CRISIS. IN 2021, IT DISTRIBUTED 1.9 MILLION DIAPERS AND HELPED OVER 13,000 BABIES. THE WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA DIAPER BANK HAS SUPPLIED OVER 5 MILLION INDIVIDUAL DIAPERS IN THE LAST 12 YEARS TO 54 PARTNER AGENCIES IN ALLEGHENY, WESTMORELAND, AND FAYETTE COUNTIES. THERE IS NO GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE FOR DIAPERS AND CERTAIN OTHER BASIC NECESSITIES. IN ADDITION, BABY WIPES ARE SUPPLIED TO AGENCIES AS WELL AS SUPPLIES FOR OTHER BASIC NEEDS SUCH AS INCONTINENCE SUPPLIES FOR SENIORS AND PERIOD PRODUCTS FOR WOMEN. DISTRIBUTIONS RISE EACH YEAR AS AWARENESS IS RAISED THROUGHOUT THE REGION.
