PRIMARY HEALTH CARE FOR UNINSURED RESIDENTS:CHARIS HEALTH CARE PROVIDES AFFORDABLE PRIMARY HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO MEDICALLY UNINSURED INDIVIDUALS. SERVICES INCLUDE OFFICE VISITS, WELL-WOMAN VISITS, MAMMOGRAMS, AND REFERRALS FOR LABORATORY WORK AND MEDICAL SPECIALIST SERVICES. CHARIS PROVIDES THESE SERVICES IN THE WILSON COUNTY, TN AREA BY UTILIZING BOTH PAID MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AND PROFESSIONAL VOLUNTEERS, INCLUDING MEDICAL DOCTORS, NURSES AND NURSE PRACTITIONERS. IN 2021, CHARIS SERVED 1,449 PATIENTS AND PROVIDED 3,466 INDIVIDUAL SERVICES TO THOSE PATIENTS. SERVICES DURING THIS YEAR AND VOLUNTEERS DONATED 3,942 HOURS OF SERVICE IN SUPPORT OF CLINIC OPERATIONS. CHARIS ALSO RECEIVED $14,400 WORTH OF DONATED CLINIC SPACE AND $15,985.79 WORTH OF DONATED SUPPLIES, $14,606 DONATED FUNDRAISER ITEMS AND $601,242.70 IN DONTATED MEDICATIONS.
