225 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED CIVIL LEGAL REPRESENTATION FROM 119 VOLUNTEER ATTORNEYS FROM OUR FOUR SERVICE COUNTIES, JASPER, LAKE, NEWTON, AND PORTER. THE ATTORNEYS VOLUNTEERED 2,598 HOURS OF THEIR TIME. IN ADDITION, 495 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED LEGAL ADVICE AND SUPPORT ON THEIR ISSUES. OUR STAFF REVIEWED 622 NEW REQUESTS FOR SERVICES. ADDITIONALLY, APPROXIMATELY 111 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED BRIEF INFORMATION AND ADVICE FROM 68 VOLUNTEER ATTORNEYS WHO PROVIDED 136 HOURS AT OUR ANNUAL WALK-IN TALK TO A LAWYER TODAY EVENT ON THE MARTIN LUTHER KING HOLIDAY. APPROXIMATELY 41 HOURS WERE VOLUNTEERED BY 10 ATTORNEYS AT THE ROOM 3 SUPERIOR COURT TO HELP INDIVIDUALS COMPLETE COURT FORMS TO BE FILED. FINALLY, 23 NEWLY TRAINED GUARDIAN AD LITEMS AGREED TO SPEAK FOR CHILDREN OR INCAPACITATED ADULTS FOR 69 CASES, FOR FREE. EACH OF THESE CASES TAKE AT MINIMUM 25 HOURS.
