THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO ASSIST FAMILIES OF PATIENTS IN NEED OF ORGAN TRANSPLANTS BY CREATING FUNDRAISING PROGRAMS, PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE RELATED TO THE TRANSPLANT EXPENSES, AND BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE NEED FOR ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATIONS.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

COTA'S PROGRAM SERVICES CONSIST OF CREATING FUNDRAISING PROGRAMS FOR PATIENTS IN NEED OF ORGAN TRANSPLANTS, PROVIDING VOLUNTEERS WITH FUNDRAISING ASSISTANCE AND PAYING PATIENT'S TRANSPLANT RELATED EXPENSES, AND PROVIDING PUBLIC EDUCATION REGARDING ORGAN TRANSPLANTS. IN THE CURRENT YEAR, COTA ALLOCATED AND PAID OVER 3.6 MILLION DOLLARS OF TRANSPLANT RELATED EXPENSES FOR FAMILIES OF TRANSPLANT PATIENTS. COTA HAS OVER 2,825 ACTIVE FAMILIES/PATIENT ACCOUNTS.
