THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF INDIANA RESIDENTS CHOOSING HOSPICE SERVICES THROUGH EDUCATION, EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION, DEVELOPMENT OF HOSPICE PROGRAMS, AND PROMOTION OF ACCEPTED STANDARDS FOR HOSPICE PRACTICES.

IHPCO PROVIDES INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC REGARDING END-OF-LIFE ISSUES AND PROVIDES A RESOURCE FOR INQUIRIES FROM THE PUBLIC AND HEALTH PROFESSIONALS REGARDING END-OF-LIFE ISSUES. IHPCO ALSO PROVIDES WORKSHOPS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO INTERESTED HEALTH AND HOSPICE CARE PROFESSIONALS IN INDIANA AND DISTRIBUTES MONTHLY AND QUARTERLY EDUCATIONAL NEWSLETTERS TO ITS MEMBERS TO RAISE PUBLIC AWARENESS ABOUT HOSPICE AND REGULATORY MATTERS AFFECTING HOSPICE.
