THE MISSION OF MVCAP IS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MAHONING VALLEY (I.E. OHIO COUNTIES OF TRUMBULL AND MAHONING) HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ATTENDING COLLEGE OR POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION. THE ORGANIZATION ASSISTS IN FINANCIAL AID BY GRANTING LAST-DOLLAR SCHOLARSHIPS TO QUALIFYING STUDENTS.

LAST DOLLAR EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS. TWO ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS OF $1,000 EACH WERE AWARDED FROM THE ORGANIZATION'S FUND AT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY FOUNDATION.


SERVICE PROGRAM EXPENSES, WAGES, AND PAYROLL TAXES PAID FOR ADVISORS TO: 1) PROVIDE STUDENTS AND FAMILIES WITH INFORMATION ABOUT OPPORTUNITIES AND RESOURCES FOR POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION; 2) PROVIDE ADVISORY AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE COLLEGE AS NECESSARY AND ATTAINABLE FOR ALL STUDENTS; AND 3) OFFER LAST-DOLLAR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ELIGIBLE SENIORS.
