THE 2021 CLEVELAND INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION PRESENTED THE PINNACLE OF CLASSICAL PIANO ARTISTRY ACROSS TWO WEEKS OF PERFORMANCES FOR CLEVELAND AND INTERNATIONAL AUDIENCES. TWENTY-SIX EMERGING PIANISTS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE WERE SELECTED TO COMPETE IN THE COMPETITION. EIGHT SEMI-FINALISTS WERE INVITED TO TRAVEL TO CLEVELAND FOR A CHANCE TO PLAY WITH THE CLEVELAND ORCHESTRA, AN EXPERIENCE UNPARALLELED BY ANY OTHER INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION, AND TO COMPETE FOR THE $75,000 MIXON FIRST PRIZE.
