CONGREGATE MEALS - TO PROVIDE NUTRITIONALLY BALANCED MEALS TO THOSE IN A CONGREGATE DINING SETTING AT 4 OUT OF OUR 13 SITES. HOT MEALS ARE OFFERED MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY AT 11AM FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ACCESS TO TRANSPORTATION. CONGREGATE-DINING OPTIONS PROVIDE SOCIALIZATION THROUGH PERSONAL INTERACTION, ACHIEVED BY SHARING NUTRITIOUS MEALS WITH PEERS. (3,014 MEALS SERVED)
HOME-DELIVERED MEALS - TO PROVIDE NUTRITIONALLY BALANCED MEALS TO THOSE WHO ARE HOMEBOUND AND UNABLE TO PREPARE MEALS INDEPENDENTLY. WHOLESOME HOME-DELIVERED MEALS ARE DELIVERED BY A VOLUNTEER OFFERING THE CLIENTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO INTERACT WITH A FRIENDLY PERSON AND ALLOW THE VOLUNTEER TO CHECK ON THE SAFETY OF THE INDIVIDUAL. SERVICE IS AVAILABLE TO ANY HOMEBOUND INDIVIDUAL, REGARDLESS OF AGE OR INCOME. DEPENDING UPON ELIGIBILITY, REDUCED COSTS ARE AVAILABLE.
