THE OBJECTIVES OF ZAFERIA ARE TO PROMOTE THE COMMON BUSINESS INTERESTS, FACILITATE THE EXCHANGE OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, AND ENCOURAGE BUSINESS COOPERATION OF ITS MEMBERS. ADDITIONALLY, ZAFERIA CONDUCTS PUBLIC RELATIONS AND DEVELOPS/SPONSORS ACTIVITIES THAT BEST ADVANCE THE MEMBERS AND THEIR BUSINESSES.

1.WE SPONSORED THE ORIZABA PARK HALLOWEEN PARTY FOR NEIGHBORHOOD CHILDREN, HAPPY SUNDAYS MUSIC FESTIVAL, FRIENDS OF RECREATION PARK BAND SHELL, AND THE LB OPEN ART STUDIO EVENT FEATURING ZAFERIA AREA ARTISTS. 2.MEET ZAFERIA MIXERS WERE HELD AT ROLAND SANDS, ASHTANGA / COMMUNITY YOGA CLUB, BUVONS, AND WE HAVE A HOLIDAY MIXER PLANNED AT COMMON ROOM ROASTERS ON WEDNESDAY, DEC 6. 3.WE HELD OUR FIRST EVER SPRING MARKET ON CORONADO AVE. WITH FOOD, DRINKS, LIVE MUSIC, AND MERCHANT VENDORS. 4.THE ZBA WAS THE MAIN SPONSOR OF THE 2023 HAPPY SUNDAYS EVENT THAT PROVIDED FREE LIVE MUSIC AND OTHER ENTERTAINMENT AT SIX ZAFERIA VENUES. WE FURTHER SUPPORTED THE EVENT WITH MARKETING EFFORTS INCLUDING SOCIAL MEDIA, BANNERS ON DISPLAY THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT, AND EMAIL BLASTS, AND OBTAINED SPONSORSHIP FROM COUNCIL DISTRICTS 2 FOR THE BIG RED BUS. 5.WE MAINTAINED THE 97 LIGHT POLE BANNERS THAT REFLECT THE VARIETY OF BUSINESSES AND PEOPLE IN ZAFERIA AND HELP TO BRAND OUR DISTRICT. EVERY YEAR, A PORTION OF OUR REVENUE IS MOVED TO OUR SAVINGS ACCOUNT SO WE WILL HAVE FUNDS TO REPLACE THE LIGHT POLE BANNERS AS NEEDED. 6.WE HAVE CONTINUED OUR CLEANING CONTRACT (SIDEWALK POWER WASHING, TRASH, WEEDS, AND MINOR GRAFFITI REMOVAL) WITH THE DOWNTOWN LONG BEACH ALLIANCE. WE HIT ALL AREAS OF THE DISTRICT AND THE ROUTE SCHEDULES AND MAPS ARE AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE UNDER RESOURCES.
