TO SUPPORT THE CITY OF MISSION VIEJO'S PUBLIC LIBRARY
THE ORGANIZATION HAS ESSENTIALLY ONE PROGRAM SERVICE, WHICH IS TO SUPPORT THE CITY OF MISSION VIEJO'S PUBLIC LIBRARY. THE MAJOR ACTIVITIES INCLUDE THE COLLECTION AND MANAGEMENT OF DONATIONS (PRINCIPALLY USED BOOKS), THE OPERATIONS OF A BOOKSTORE WHERE THE USED BOOKS ARE SOLD, AND A FEW SPECIAL BOOK SALES AND EVENTS. THESE ACTIVITIES PROVIDE FUNDS TO PAY FOR LIBRARY MATERIALS AND PROGRAMS. MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZATION VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME TO STAFF THE BOOKSTORE, SUCH AS SORTING, SHELVING, OR CASHIERING, AND TO ASSIST AT BOOK SALES AND EVENTS.
